Asked Questions Page 2 |

- What
is that grey and white "checkerboard"
background behind my artwork?
The
checkerboard pattern on the "Step 2: Prep It"
page in the Design Studio shows areas of your artwork
that our system has identified as transparent. These
transparent areas will be where the color of the
product will show through. To add or delete transparency
to parts of your artwork, click on the area that
you want change. This will make solid areas transparent
and transparent areas solid.
- Why
do I have to keep clicking on the "show changes"
button?
The
"show changes" button applies the modifications
you have selected in the Design Studio Workspace.
The page will refresh with your changes displayed
on your product. We have designed the Design Studio
Workspace to allow you to group several changes
to text and artwork instead of having to wait for
each click to be processed individually.
- Why
does my artwork look different in Design Studio?
If
you are using low-resolution (under 600 x 600 pixels
or less than 300dpi) non-EPS artwork, changing the
size of your logo in the Design Workspace may affect
its appearance. Make sure your bitmap image resolution
is EPS, at least 600x600 pixels, or at least 300dpi.
- How
accurate are the colors I see on screen?
The Design Studio provides best screen and printer
color accuracy at the factory default settings of
most brand name monitors and color printers. Colors
do, however, sometimes vary slightly depending on
the quality and/or age of your monitor, but this
should not affect your ability to understand how
your artwork will appear on the final product.
- I
thought I saved my artwork. Where is it?
Your
saved artwork is available when you enter the Design
Studio. When you are ready to apply artwork to a
product, you will have the option to upload a new
file or select from your saved artwork. If you select
saved artwork, you will see a screen of "thumbnail"
images of your artwork with some information about
that artwork.
- How
long will I be able to store artwork with Branders.com?
Saved
artwork and product samples can be saved for up
to two years.
